IMPORTANT NOTICE: Fraudulent Invoice Scam Targeting Planning Applicants
The City of Veneta has been made aware of an active scam targeting individuals who have applied for permits from the City. The scammer will send fraudulent invoices posing as a City official, requesting payment by wire transfer. These invoices are not legitimate.
The City of Veneta does not send invoices through email, nor do we request or accept payment by wire transfer. If you receive something suspicious, please contact City Hall at 541-935-2191 to verify its authenticity before taking any action.

PLANNING
The Planning Department manages current and long-range planning activities in the City of Veneta. Current planning involves the implementation of adopted land use plans, policies and development regulations through a review of specific land use and development applications. Development review includes re-zones, tree permits, conditional use permits, preliminary subdivisions, final plats, and site plan applications. Long-range planning involves planning for future growth, development, and conservation within the City through the development and adoption of the Veneta Comprehensive Plan and development regulations contained in City Ordinances. The City's Comprehensive Plan and the Veneta Zoning and Development Code provide the guidelines and criteria upon which the City Planner and the Planning Commission base their decisions.
